A night of networking

Posted on 27 November 2012

On 27 November the Cricklewood Outer London Fund project hosted its first Networking Event at the Crown Moran Hotel. The event brought together businesses, residents, council representatives, and local organisations with a focus on helping one another and improving the town centre.

Councillor Dean Cohen, Barnet Council’s Lead Member for Environment and Regeneration, introduced the event and its role in working toward positive change for Cricklewood. He said: ‘Events like these are all about getting people talking to one another and realising that collectively they can do so much when they pool their local knowledge and expertise.’ Joel Ede, the director of multi-media company Oxygenate, provided a fast-paced presentation on using social media to generate exposure, opportunity and sales. Further social media business seminars will be delivered, free of charge, to Cricklewood businesses in 2013. The next Networking Event will be held on 27 February at 6.30pm at the Crown Moran Hotel. Future Networking Events will also be held on 26 June and 30 October 2013.
